I just thought I’d post a few more photos to wet your appetite, or make you jealous if you want to see it that way.

One of the best tracking dogs you’ll ever see, Willem’s dogs go every where he does, they way it should be.

Place to rest after a tiring day of hunting

Another photo of my favourite place to hunt on Zeekoepan

Who does he remind you of? Any one got an idea?

To close for comfort

Regards Chris

Great pix. The one of the elephant was especially convincing.

We where actually following him, as he had been walking down the road. He kept dragging his trunk on the ground, and our PH Willem was teasing us that he was making it easier for even us to track him. Next thing Wham there he was, real pucker moment. So bloody close the camera didn't want to focus. It's moments like these that make a hunt special, he might have a large body but dont think they are that easy to see in the bush.

Luckily for us we had stopped at the Private game reserve next door, as they where introducing a new Lion to the reserve. Willems dogs where going mad so the vet put some of the grass the lion had been sleeping on, onto the back of Willems Land cruiser. As soon as the Elephant got a whiff of Lion, he backed up and left. Shows you the natural instinct all animals have for predadtors.

Regards Chris

Wonderful pictures Chris, thanks for sharing but please tell Ed he's too old to be climbing trees.
