Filled the safe ( never enough room for scopes) , one in the nightstand mini-safe,  and the  gun cabinet ...but I wanted mind having a couple more-- I have 2 boys ( 14 and 10 ) , and have been using " It's gonna be theirs " as an excuse for more - I pick up a new Marlin XLR tomorrow ---you know --"""for my oldest""""... Anybody else that went a bit overboard ?

I have never thought of it,but the guy i'm smithing with has one built at his shop.it is 16x20  with a vault door on it.It will hold ton's of guns.I know right now it has right around 800+ I know with a safe room i would feel safer with the kidds running around. It will also make for a good room for the wife to go during bad weather.i usually staind in the yard to watch.Maybe if she's in a concret room i can here her yelling at me to come in.See it will work for everyone.

No alarm, but i do have a  140 pound red nose pitt bull named Butter cup. When you go thru the door just ask her where everything is.I'm sure she would be more than glad to help.Oh and then there a minnie whinnie dog he will probably just lay there and whine. But i'm sure well i know she will be glad to see you.it will save me on a 50$ a week dog food bill.

P.S Good luck

Yes to the alarm,,

Yes to the dog ( crap machines--so yes to land mines   ) German Shepard and an Irish Setter ...

Plus it's a safe  ....and the cabinet is wood over metal liner and reinforced glass-etc....

And forget me- the wife would shoot anyone she thought was a threat in our house ...and she can shoot her 357 with the best of' em

140 lb. female rednose pit !  I ain't never heard of such a beast. She must have a head on her like a basketball. Are you sure she doesn't have some American Bulldog in her ? I got a 72 lb. rednose bitch, gator bloodline, and I was told she was above average size. Standard size for female is 40-60 lbs. according to the APBT owners club. There is a local guy who raises American Bulldogs in my neck of the woods, and his prize bitch weighs 110 lbs.
