You have really helped me out but I am not ot of questions yet.How do the vx3 and the conquest rate against each other for optical quality and low light performance if the objective is the same. You have convinced me that both brands are tough and reliable with good eye rellief and they both cost about the same so does the conquest have any advantages oner the vx3. in low light situations. The models I have in mind are the conquest 3-9x40 and 2.5-8x32 and vx3 in 2.5-8x36 1.75x32 and 3.5-10x40. I can buy the vx3s for 430 except the 3.5-10 for500.The conquest 3-9x40 can be had for 445 and the 2.5-8 for 300. I do perfer the light weigh of the leupold on light rifles but on heavy rifles like my cz the extra weight of the ziess scopes would not natter. I am 65 years old with rather poor night vision. I quess my older eyes can only take in so much light. Would there be any real reason for me to buy any scopes with 50 objective that cost more weigh more and are harder to mount. None of my scopes will exceed 10 power so would not a 40 objedtive let in all the light ny eyes could use even in darkness. By the way I have enjoyed your articles and stories in handloader and rifle for many years. Thanks so much for your help.
