Can I get some opinions on these 2 scopes(advantages/disadvantages of each)  I am also considering a 4200 Elite but have gotten the opinion it is overall a better scope(and you pay for it)  With the Burris and the Monarch being in a little lower price range.  Will be mounting to a .270 Mannlicher hunting mostly big game.  Have had a problem with low light situations, especially as I get older...thanks

I have owned a Burris Signature 3-9x50 and a Monarch 3.5-10x50 concurrently. I found the Monarch to be better at twilight. The Signature had posilock and was probably the most spot-on scope, hunt for hunt that I owned. Sorry, I couldn't compare the FF2.

The Monarch is the brighter of the two, but the FFII is a tougher scope.

I wished the Elite came with a firefly reticle, with a ballisticplex rangefinder.  I think there wouldn't be much discussion between the zeiss and the 4200 if that were the case.  Am shooting for the 4200 firefly.  Going with the FFII lrs ballisticplex as a backup.  I like things that glow..
