I have a pre64 model 70 in 300H&H with factory flip down rear site that i need bases and rings for. front mount spacing~.87", rear~.435".... I'm pretty sure it is factory drilled

The only rings that I found locally (Alaska) are Warne, which I don't want. I don't want a quick release set up. I like the looks of the leupold double dovetail(better lines), but open to suggestion. I took off the Hawk/J.Unertl 4x with Buehler rings/bases. Love the looks of the Buehler...

I am still debating on which scope to put on, either a conquest 3-9x40 or Z3 3-9x36. Not sure if the same bases/mounts would accommodate both?

Thanks

Personally, I go with the Z3.

These should work with either scope.

Another option is to keep the Buehler mounts.  The rings might work with the Z3.  If not, you can still find Buehler rings on the auction sites.  Get the height you need.  This would probably be the less costly and would keep the rifle more period correct option.

Thanks

I have been using Talley one pieces with great success on other rifles. Are the two pieces as stable?

When I asked if they would work for either scope, I was mainly concerned about too long of ring spacing with the Z3.

Welcome to Optics Talk.

Folks here have used the Talley LW's on several hard kickers without incident. I love 'em! I'd get them and not look back, my friend!
