Well it seams I missed one important factor when buying/studying the Swarovski Z3 4x12x50.
It lacks a means to correct for paralax. It is set for 109 yards/meters.

The Z5 is corrected from 55 meters to infinity.

I bought the Z3 4x12 for medium long range capability with the BRH reticle. What is the point of having this reticle in this scope with no means to correct paralax???

Will it be accurate enough for shots out to 800 yards? (yes the rifle and shooter are if you are wondering).

Go to youtube and look up the  Swarovski Z3 4-12X50 on there. I looked at a video from Christensen Arms using it and they were impressed with the BRX reticle and the scopes capabilites. They were shooting at 800 with no problems.  It's a good video on how the BRX/BRH reticle works.

The BRX/BRH models are actually parallax corrected at 200 meters, and parallax error is minimal out to 800 yards.

Also, there is no parallax error if you have your eye centered behind the exit pupil.

Yes, later read in the owners manual it is corrected at 200 .
On their website it states 109.

Will be sure to center my eye.

Thanks for the reply's.

timberbuck,

I shoot steel out to 800 or so pretty regularly with that scope.

Parallax won't keep your shots off the target, but the wind sure will!
