Hey guys I'm new here--I was referred to this site because word on the street is that this is the ONLY place to get credible information on optics.
My question is, are any of you using the Minox 15x58 ED bino's?  There isn't a dealer anywhere close to me and I'm wondering if these would be a good alternative to the Swaro 15X56 SLC's?  Thanks for any info you can provide..

I would answer yes.  Especially for the money.  I have used both binos, but never compared them side by side.  Both did a very good job.  I have no plans to buy the Swaros, I will be getting the Minox.

I got to handle the Minox 15x58's at a gun show in Louisville recently and they were exceptionally nice.

Heavy enough to sink a battle ship, but extremely well crafted.

They screamed of precision workmanship and, so far as observing inside an artificially lit arena would let me tell, very bright although they tended toward a bluish tint.  That could have been the flourescent lighting impacting the image though...

I've never owned a pair of Minox, but I'd like to.  To me, Minox is to Leica what Kahles is to Swarovski:  neither Minox nor Kahles is quite as good as their sisters, but the management and construction philosophy of the sister shows in the craftsmanship of each of them.  When I look through them, I always feel like Kahles and Minox represent 95% of the performance at 75% of the price.

Just my two cents.
Take the long way home...
