I have a 3-15x50 that has been great, comparable to me zeiss conquest. I have a 4-20x50 that may be testing out that customer service though.

Quite decent for an all-around set-up. Glass is similar (in my eyes) to a Conquest or Sightron Big Sky. I have not heard of any negative CS issues. You could do a lot worse!!!

I own one of the 2-10x40 ZA5 Minox scopes.  They are good optically in the daylight.  They are no better than the old Leupold VXII's in the low light performance.  They also have a very narrow alignment field at 10x.  They are okay in field alignment up only to 8X, at 10X they are very touchy and especially difficult to find the field of view in low light.  The are equal to the Conquest in daylight but not at dusk or really low light.

The other thing that bothered me about the Minox is value.  Mine is the 2-10x40 BDC which I paid the going price for ($510).  Now you can buy them new on several venues as open box, or demos for as low as $319.  Which means used, they are worth $250.  I have never bought another German company optic made in the US or Germany which was worth half of its price used!

If you pay a little more money for the Conquest, it will still be worth nearly its retail as used merchandise.

I put the 2-10x40 on my Savage 9.3x62 and in the field it worked fine for harvesting my bear - I'll admit I was impressed with it's low weight which sold me.

At the range sighting in, the resolution in the center of the view is quite sharp but gets a little 'soft' towards the edges plus a little 'fish eye' effect - pretty much what Oldtrader3 said.

I think it's a great hunting scope but perhaps the 2-10x50 would have better low-light capabilities. I'll keep it.
