Hi,
I got a pair of Minox from the bay few months ago. BD BR 7x42 I got them for 400 shipped. Good price I think. They are very nice. Very clear. I took them to the beach 2 weeks ago, very clear. Gulf Coast. Able to see ships far away. Have not used them in hunting yet. Nice rubber armor. My first pair of roof bino. Not sure how they compare with other mid range but I say they are really good. Anybody has the same pair? What is your opinion.

I had the pair in question last fall briefly for hunting.
Pluses
- Surprisingly bright, sharp image - Good, neutral color rendition with little color fringing in most situations - Fairly flat, wide sweet spot of image in focus.
Negatives
- Stiff focuser in colder weather - Weight was a little on the heavy side if I remember correctly - Field of view was narrow for a 7x42 but not much so when you consider the aspheric eyepiece design |
