Maybe someone hear can answer this one: What power setting do you use on a 5-15 power Legend when using the Mil-Dot? The only info I got from the generic brochure and from the Bushnell web-site was to use either 9 or 12 power setting. When I called Bushnell customer service some lady told me "just put it in the middle".
The brochure talks about a red dot in the power ring, but the Legend has only gold numbers and dots. So, if someone has the answer let me know.
Thanks,

Mark-- Most 2nd focal plane mil-dots are calibrated for 10X, but if you're gonna use it for ranging or as a ballistic reticle for long-range zeroing, it's very easy to simply recalculate the subtensions at the highest power where ranging is most accurate really. At 15X the mil-dot subtensions will be around 2.4 inch per hundred yards (check at the range though). If u multiply that by 5 (for 5 mil spacings) that would still net u 12 MOA of trajectory compensation which oughtta get u out around 500-600 yds.+/-.
