My Tasco manual for my SS 10 X 42 indicates a 1.96 mil dot spacing. Ml dot master and other articles mention a 1 mil dot spacing, all CTC.
What is correct?

1 Mil is 1/1000th of an inch ( 36 inches at 1000 yards ) If the size of a target is known you can use the formula of X ( Distance) = target size / mils a 6 FT man taking up 4 mils is ( X = 72 /.004 ) in inches that comes out to 18000 inches or 500 yards. Use the mil-dot master it's a whole lot faster. set up a barbers pole with colored electrical tape 3 3/5 inch pieces and look at them at a known distance of 100 yards each one should be 1 mil. Standard US Army Mil Dot, if that helps. SteelBenz is correct, they are 1 mil center to center. |

If at first you don't secede...try..try again.
