Outside of CA control, is there much of a difference between between HD and non-HD Meostar?  I have read that the non-HD has a bit warmer image than the HD.

I have to admit that Bitterroot Bulls praise of Meopta has me tempted to try a pair.

There is a truer color representation with the MeoStar B1 10x42 HD.  Aside from a 20 gram weight difference, the mechanical construction and external appearance are the same as the non-HD version.

Thanks for the info.

Does the warmer bias (yellow tint) increase the contrast?  As a hunter and not a birder, I am not as interested in true color as clarity, sharpness, and contrast.

I hunted with the HD version a bunch in very, very low light
It has outstanding contrast...

I picked up a pair of 10x50.  So far they are great.  I am going to compare them to a buddy's 10x42 EL.  We shall see.
