anyone compare one of these directly against a Kahles CL 3-10x50?
I have the latter and love it
just curious, the price is good and available in a 4a reticle

curious mainly about the glass

In my humble opinion, the Kahles is better. However, my comparison was off a little. The Kahles was a 3-9 X 42 CL and the Meopta Meostar was a 4-12 X 40. The Meopta was heavier (and seemed so) but optically it was no slouch either. Just my $.02.

i think the optics on both are excellent - with the slight advantage to kahles.

for the money, it's a good buy.

Not the same as what you're looking at, but for an equal comparison's sake, I have both a Kahles C 3-12x56 and a Meopta Meostar 3-12x56. Same magnification range, same objective diameter, both 30mm tubes, etc...

On these two, the Kahles is better, but not by much. The Meopta is definitely a good deal for the money.

Only knock I've heard on a Meopta is the eye relief.  If that's not an issue, you should be good to go.

yeah, on a lighter kicking caliber, it's a great deal - if it's on a shoulder cannon- you may want to go towards a zeiss conquest or kahles.

i had mine on a 7mm08 so it was perfect.
