Alright fellas........
Meopta/Cabelas Euro 10x42 ($799) or a Swaro SLCneu 10x42 demo ($1199)??????
I've not looked through a Meopta in a couple of years, and never seen a SLCneu.
Which one and why?

The Swaros I have looked through do offer a better image than my Meoptas.  But in my case not enough to warrant the added cost so I went with the Meopta.  We got two pair of them for really close to the same as one Swaro, so it was a no brainer for us.  But that is all up to the buyer.

Looking for best optics, not necessarily saving the $$$.  Purely optics, which is better.

Meostar/SLCneu?

Those are very, very similar images.

I think the SLC will have the edge in CA control.

I have used a number of brands including both of these. They are more expensive, but if the money is no object (And if you think about it - you'll use them more than your rifle and scope combined, and they can last a lifetime so a great investment) the SLC's are simply superior. The Meostar is no slouch and will do what you need it to do and is great value. But if you just want better the SLC by a fair margin. If you use them frequently, Binoculars IMHO are a don't skimp area. Buy the best you can afford. Down the road you'll never regret the investment.  Don't kill me just stating my experience.

Got the SLCneu right off the samplelist.  Sure glad I did as I was able to look through them and a Cabelas euro side by side and definitely prefer the SLC.  Meopta is no slouch for sure, but even if they were identical (which they weren't to me) you get the best in the universe Swaro service.
