Has anyone here had any experience with Meopta riflescopes? What do you have?  Any favorites? I got a week's worth of vacation time coming up, and seems like the perfect opportunity to do some shoppin' around.

I have an Artimis 3000 i believe is the name. Its now been replaced with the meopro line but it is an excellent optic. Great glass and it has been on a semi auto 7mag for years. They make great stuff. I also own their binos and a spotting scope. Love them all

I had a R1 for a bit... it was heavy, well made, kinda short ER, with wonderful glass. I still be likin' Meopta.

Have you seen the new R2 scopes yet from Meopta ? They took care of the ER issue completely. You need Rainguard type coatings ? Yup, got that too.

Have the Meopta Meostar 56MM R1 #4K illuminated and a 50MM #4. Both have stayed hitched where sighted on heavy kickers. Both are good in low light with the 56 slightly better when the light is all but gone.  Prefer Meopta's warranty on illuminated scopes over warranties provided by the Big Four (Swaro, Zeiss, Leica and S & B) on illuminated scopes. A personal preference on second focal plane scopes even though Meoptas can be had both ways. No experience with Meopros. Considering the 56MM R2 4K illuminated for my next scope purchase.

I owned one for a day a few years ago.  It was going on a mid-weight 300WM, eye relief was short - to say the least.

Glass wasn't bad, eye relief was, price was okay.

Mileage varies.

That's why I suggested the R2. They have 4" of ER.

I have 2-3 Meostars and 3 Meopros. They are both outstanding scopes and for the price the latter is a better deal. The weaver super slams are in the same category as the Meopros and their price can't be touched for this level of quality. The Meostar glass IMHO is equal to the "big Four" euros.
