Which of the two would you prefer?  They come out to about the same price by the time I pay tax and shipping on the Euro and won't have to on the Meopta from the site I've found to purchase from.  I take into consideration, not only optical performance, but customer service, resell value, durability.

With Cabela's Euro, I'd be getting a great return policy and great warranty.

With the Meopta, I'd be getting a better name and maybe better re-sell value if I decide to do that later on down the road.

I guess it's purely preference since they are basically the same binocular with about the same price.

It's a tough call. If it were really close on price, I'd buy the Meopta. You may like the dimples in the armor and Meopta's warranty is transferrable if you ever decide to sell them. Cabela's may be as well.

I'm sure they both have great customer service there. I would say it may come down to which armor you like better. Cabela's frequently has their Euros for $100 cheaper than normal. For example, the 10x42 are normally $799, but often, maybe even now, they are being sold for $699 for hunting specials and whatnot.

They are indeed the same binocular except for cosmetic differences.

Have you tried these (in either flavor)? I checked them out at a Cabelas and thought I would be more impressed. But this should apply to any glass. Check it out if you can - with your own eyes. Everyone sees things differently. Just speaking for myself, I liked Vortex Razors, Swaro ELs and Pentax DCF EDs better. Maybe it was that particular pair.
