I've read tons of reviews on both the binoculars. Lots of people say "Meopta compares to the big 3". But has anyone ever compared the Meopta side by side with the Swaro SLC? I'm talking the non-hd model of the Meopta. I have the Meopta Meostar, non-hd, and considering the Swaro SLC. Closest place for me to compare them is 2.5 hours away. Thanks! |

I haven't compared the Meopta 10x42 non HD to the SLC, but I did compare, on tripods, the Meopta 10x42HD and the Swaro SLC HD because I owned them both. I compared them over a two week period for several hours total. The Meotpa is every bit the optic that the SLC HD is IMO, and the Meopta is built more ruggedly.

That is funny. I know a guy that has compared the Meopta HD with the SLC neu, but he also mentions having the older Meostar.

The SLC neu will smoke the older non hd Meostar.
I have looked through both side by side many times. |

Smoke? In what ways? I firmly disagree, and I have spent hours and hours with both as well. |

Yeah another horse. Where do comments like these come from? Far as I can tell it is a question of how many angels can dance on the head of a pin sort of thing. I can see where one might ultimately prefer one or the other, but get smoked (whatever that means)? Sorry I can't see that either.
