Since Koshkin is doing one about Kahles I thought I would do one about Meopta since I had a problem with my scope recently.

I have a Meopta Artemis 3000 309x42.  I really like the scope, it is very bright and clear the finish is good and the adjustments are accurate.

I had it mounted on a marlin 45-70 with 24 inch barrel.  I had put several hundred rounds through it and a couple weeks back had it at the range with some new loads I was working up.  On about the 10 shot I noticed some little black spec's starting to show up on the glass and also my zero was starting to wander.  A few more shots and there was tons of specs on the glass and it was all over the place.  So on Monday the 24th of March I called Meopta and talked to Richard I believe and explained to him what had happened and he told me to send it back to them in New York and they would get it repaired.  It sounded like it may be going over seas to get fixed so I figured this was going to take several months.  Well today the UPS guy dropped off a package and it was a brand new scope.  With no charge for return shipping.

I could not be happier with the service I received from Meopta, just a bit over 10 business days and I have a new scope in my hands.  I have talked to Richard on several occasions before I have bought some other Meopta products I have and he has always been very good to talk to and is a super nice guy.

That's good to hear.  I've got two Meopta's, one is the same as yours, and it's good to know that they will stand behind their product like that.Excellent

Excellent, I was considering getting one for a hunting rifle project, this is good to know, and much appreciated.
