I'm looking for good binos  and I think meopta 8x56 is way to go.Is there anything else (better) in this price range? thanks for any info.

Having both the 10x52 Minox and 10x50 Meopta.I would give the edge to the Minox.My 1st pair of meopta leaked water in them also.The Minox have been bulletproof and i like them better in low light.

which model  of minox do you have?

I have a pair of 10X42 Meoptas that have proven themselves incredibly durable.  I don't know if I would be able to break them.  I've never tried the large aperture models, however.
