Hi,

I'm planning to get a Meopta 2000 series scope.

How does it compares with Zeiss Conquest or Weaver Classic in terms of glass and control?  I have these two, so these are my point of reference.

Thanks.

I would say its more in line with the conquest than the weaver.  Not to dissuade you, the 2000 series has been discontinued and replaced with the Meopro line.  That being said, I'd make sure your not paying more for the 2000 series compared to the Meopro line

FYI, Meopta make most of thje Coquest glass but it is in keeping with the Zeiss design.

I have several Conquest . The two on my main rifles are a 4.5-14x44 and a 3.5-10x44. I also have a Weaver Classic Extreme 2.5-10x50 which stacks up suprisingly well with those two Conquests. I would wrather have a Conquest if we're talking full retail but if I had the chance to buy another Weaver CE for half the Conquest price............I'd do it all day long and never look back !

I just picked up a Nitrex 2.5-10x50 at a great price but I have not had a chance to check it out in low light conditions. It's a Weaver product and has the same specs as the Super Slam series...........plus Nitrex has a $100 rebate going right now on the TR II models ! It reminds me a lot of my Classic Extreme but like I said............haven't got to low light testing yet !
