All week long I've listened, with decreasing patience, to the "theme" that we should be "mourning" on Memorial Day.  Sorry… but I wholeheartedly disagree.  We mourn the passing of our warriors every day.  They are never forgotten and their passiing weighs heavily upon us all.

Memorial Day is a day the Nation has set aside to celebrate the lives of those who "gave all" for our country and its way of life… never truly willingly, often grudgingly… but never with hesitation.  True heroes do not seek death, they just do not fear it and are willing to suffer it to preseve something greater than "self"… to sustain a way of life… a way of freedom and liberty… a way that brings opportunity to all.

On Memorial Day we HONOR and praise with great praise those who gave their lives… FOR us, to protect us, to perpetuate The United States of America and the magnificent ideals it cherishes and tries to promote throughout the world.

We recognize the sacrifice and thank and honor those who were willing to make it.  God bless them all.  They rest now in His arms, in the place He has prepared for them.

"It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to than I have ever known."

I would like to see the Dipwad-In-Chief dig a few graves with a shovel for the Fallen Americans....instead of preening around like a clown eating ice cream.....

We need another Dwight Eisenhower....!

Thank you Fallen Americans, and you living veterans....

While I was visiting the grave of the father of a friend of mine (he was a crew member on a B-17), I heard Taps being played. It was the most beautiful Taps I had ever heard. So smooth and mournful, and from the heart that it brought a tear to my eye just hearing it. I looked around for where it was coming from. I saw a man about 100yds away wearing a black and yellow jacket with a bugle standing over four graves playing Taps, and it was obviously coming from his heart. I wanted to walk over and thank him, but I don't think he wanted to be disturbed.
Celebrate with Honor.

It bothers me but so many people confuse Memorial Day and Veterans Day. I actually will politely correct folks who thank me for my service on MD. I'm sure a few folks think i'm being rude but Memorial Day, like Dan stated, should be to celebrate the lives that were given in the service to this nation. To every Man and Women who has died in defense of this great nation....THANK YOU! Marines

I am so disgusted at these Left-Wing Commies in Washington.  On Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Veteran's Day, on June 6th, on December 7th, we get the same thing.....NOTHING but Dead Air Space.....

....from a bunch of Low Life LEFTIES.....
