I can't pull up the first link up there......the second link I did get.

McCain has ALWAYS given me a PAIN.

He is just a liberal in sheep's clothing, with a flag draped over him. Boy, are we in Trouble this year!!!                  --Ed

We have totally run out of statesmen and heroes. We are scraping the bottom of the barrel with putty knives.

What kills me about him is that he, of all people should know better.
I'm going to vote for him if it comes down to him or Obamination or the Beast, but boy is it going to hurt to do so!
I know I'll spend the next four years wondering if I should have voted for the WORST one just to get it all over with sooner.
It's a'coming, Boys, and it's going to be BAD!

I'm with ya, Ron.  I have a feeling things are gonna be really bad for awhile.  I hope the bad times can somehow give rise to another Ronald Reagan, just as the pitiful Carter administration did.

As weak as Carter was on some of his policy, he's the last Democrat president that was an NRA member. We may never see another.

Yes, I didn't vote for Carter........but, at least, he was a decent, Christian man... he was just playing for the wrong team.

I will have to vote for McCain, too. We're STUCK!

In viewing the current dismal state of our society, we can admire the wisdom of our Founding Father John Adams, who said,
"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and a religious people, it is wholly inadequate for the government of any other."
Montesquieu insisted that the essential element of democracy, without which it could not operate, was public virtue. Public virtue is not with us today; thus it may well be that the collapse of our political and social order is not far off.

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.” ~ Thomas Jefferson.

It's not a matter of the best candidate--it's now the least  of the worst, or the lesser of 3 evils .

There were a couple of guys from McCain at the last Indy 1500 gun show... There was always a half hour line to get to b*tch at them.

I don't like him at all... I do think that his pick on judges would be better.  I think he is not as clue less on national security.  He did a live hour on Indy radio and I felt better.

Yessir, I don't want the government that HALF the people of this country deserve!! THEY can have the government that WE deserve!!.....and keep their constitutional rights to boot.  We ain't takin' anything away from THEM!!  They can continue to live and prosper as usual---they just might have to obey the law, though.

I agree that his picks for Supreme Court justices would be better, and that is a big thing.
I don't think his opponents are clueless about national security, though.  I think they ARE traitors...

I agree, they are traitors and somewhere along the lines, they were able to bastardize the way of thinking so that their mentality is somehow Constitutionally protected. It's an ugly no win situation, one that I fear will come to more bloodshed before things can be straightened out. Ruby Ridge, Waco and other situations of the like are going to be expected, and not the exception.

I could definitely argue that Carter was anything but a decent man (take a look at his latest book, for example).  He was probably the single worst president in US history.

As for McCain, he is better than Obama and Hillary, but not by much.

We successfully turned an ally into a staunch enemy ruled by Islamofascists (Iran) precisely BECAUSE of Carter.  He never met a dictator he didn't like, and he blames all the problems in the Middle East on Israel.  If something bad wasn't Israel's fault, it was our fault, as he marches in lockstep with the "blame America first" crowd.  He was always sympathetic to Castro and Arafat.  He was the biggest appeaser ever to hold a position of power, and appeasement always emboldens your enemies.  He all but gutted our military and made us look very weak in the eyes of the world.  I agree; I think he was a disgraceful president!
