In 1973 I purchased my first deer rifle for $160. A used Remington 700, 7mm magnum. A few months later I recovered sufficiently from the shock of expending the ransom for the rifle and purchased a Maverick 3-9 high powered rifle scope for $34 + tax... I was walking in tall cotton. The scope sports a one inch tube with an objective lens diameter of 35 (or so) mm. The lenses are coated, says so on the box and the reticle is a heavy duplex.
I'm not sure why I still have this scope, however, I do, and will probably not part with it. Does anyone have any information, or maybe remember this optic from years past? As I compare it to my stable of European and upper crust domestics it is indeed, lacking, but not horribly deficient.
May His face shine upon you and give you peace.
