Drove 1 1/2 hrs to get there today to just drive through the parking lot. They were standing in line from the front door around the side into the back parking lot clear around back out into the street. I just kept on going. I made the mistake of taking the little woman along and she was already unhappy and rolling her eye's at me. Must of been over 1000 outside inline at 1:30 pm. Just wonder how many were already inside.
May get up real early in the mourn and try it again. Was wanting to try and sell my SPAS-12 this weekend.

Thanks for the AAR, Stang. Same deal around North Carolina.
LOOOOONG lines of people.
I heard a guy say in a gun shop the other day that he went to a show in Charlotte and watched a full pallet of.....32 caliber ammo disappear in less than an hour.

I remember standing inline at the same gun show when the whole beat the brady bill nonsense was going on . it was about 35* then and the lines weren't 1/3 of what they were today.
I went to a show in Ft. Worth about a month ago. It was the first one in about 12 years and it was so crowded you could get anywhere then.
Folks sure are fearing what they think is going to happen with the new electeds.
Crazy...just crazy

I hope you are correct Mustang-PaPa. Weapons and hunting supplys are some of the larger industries left in America. We are going to need some place to work.

I bought alot in the mid 90's Then pretty much ignored all but just a few of my everyday guns for ccarry and home defense. The rest was in my gun safe stored at my brothers.
I seem to remember the decline in gun manuf. and gun related product. Some very big names went out of business.
Is this what we can exspect to see coming in a year or so?

Yeah I went as well and it was a longer line this year compaired to last years. Last year I just walked right in. No waiting at all. The line moved pretty fast, but once we got in boy was it hard to move around. Seen a lot of SKS rifles for sale. Getting ready for Obama I guess..
Had a great time though. I think I was in there for 3 hours + When we were leaving the line outside was still long.

Mustang PaPa Hint for you if you go in the morning... Today all the people who were carrying a firearm were moved out of the line since all firearms have to be checked. An officer came out and asked all people carrying a firearm to please step out and follow him and they were placed in a shorter line. So they did not have to wait long in the line. But the line moved a lot faster then I thought!

I was at the Ft. Worth Gun Show last weekend and it was not that busy. Hell at the prices I saw I could not imagine anyone getting excited about buying anything!
With that said I intend to go tomorrow to the Market Hall show. I hope that there will be some better deals at this show, but not really holding my breathe at all. |

Dude! You should have just gotten line. I got there around 2:00 and there was a line but we only waited maybe 5 minutes. I was hoping to sell by .270 but got not takers. I don't remember a gun show where i've seen SO MANY AR's.

The gun shows here have been really packed at the last two of them but the one this weekend was about average as I dont think a lot of people knew about it. There will be another in 2 weeks - Im beginning to think people are spent out. The prices on AR's have jumped to about the $1300 range for guns that were under $1000. and .308 DPMS LAR $1500 for a gun that would have been under $1200 but I only saw one M1a and it was $3500. (match used). No shortage of hand guns at the show. The stores here are another story. One has a 15 page list of people wanting AR-15 s. and they are down to about half the hand guns they used to have on the wall. The other big one also sells out of ARs quicker than they come in and is low on hand gun supply. The third one seems to have a good supply and is moving lots but has stuff in stock. You should have seen the line to buy AR lowers at the last show - unbelieveable- now try and find a lower parts kit HO HO HO. With the exception of .308 mil stuff the ammo seems about the same price.

Wes..... can't remember what part of Iowa you're from. There hasn't been any decent shows around Omaha and wonder about traveling a bit. PM me if you don't want to say here. Thanks.
