Is there any collector value to ammunition?  I have factory sealed  boxes of M1 30 Carbine ammo that my Dad gave me 20+ years ago.  The boxes are marked Lake City Ordnance Plant, Lot 12332.  I also have the ammo case the boxes of ammo came in.  I tried to attach photos of the ammo but I can get the photos to attach even after following the directions in the FAQ section

I'm not sure if this is a year but it has "9-44" stamped in red ink.

That would be the month and year of manufacture.
I'm not a cartridge collector, but I wouldn't open that box if I were you.
I think both cartridge collectors and WWII collectors would be interested in that ammo in the unopened box. Don't know the value, but it has potential.
