She wanted me to cook something special today, so I tried my best...
Tenderized pork chops seared in a butter, brandy and cream sauce and sauteed with Granny Smith apple slices to finish and a baked sweet potato topped off with a French Pugibet Family Sauvignon Blanc "Infamous Gold" wine (quite possibly the best white wine I have ever tasted).
When she said "This is PERFECT", I knew I had done well.  This is now a permanent part of my cooking repertoire...

It is a relatively simple meal that has so many astounding flavors it seems like it should take hours to prepare... the baked sweet potato was by far the most time consuming part.

Last night I smoked a rack of baby backs for 5 hours, served it up with the family salad including home made vinegar for my wife and I... she had a buttery Chardonnay, I had Topo-Chico.... it was yummy. Bucky

That sounds pretty darned good... we have almost converted completely to buttery chardonnays... if you can find it, try Cupcake Butterkissed or Chateau St Jean Buttery Chardonnay... both are excellent.
