Unfortunately, I do not understand german, but I can guess the tests about low light or night transmission (very usefull for a lot of night hunters in Europe).

All of them are in the same league but the Docter (I think it is very difficult to appreciate a lot differences lower than 3%)

The winners are:
1) S&B Zenith
2) Nikon Monarch E
3) Zeiss Victory Diavari

And including the pricing ... the winners about quality-price ratio would be:
1) Meopta Meostar
2) Nikon Monarch E
3) S&B Zenith

Unfortunately, other scope brands are not included: mainly used in USA -Leupold, Burris, Sightron, Conquest, Bushnell ...- and others european ones, like Nickel.

I knew Meopta properties because I tested it againts Swaro and Zeiss in a night (all of them x56), and Meopta has became to be very popular here with an excellent reputation as a quality scope brand, but Nikon was a surprised for us, we think it is a middle range brand.

Does anyone know if Nikon Monarch E is sold in USA with another model name? (i.e. as Gold)

Here is the google-translated version of the google-cached version of the PDF:

By the way, they do discuss the relation of eye pupil diameter in that article. There they do a quick performance calculation for comparison by multiplying the twilight performance by the exit pupil diameter and then relate it to the eye pupil diameter based on age.

I also see in the chart, False Light % and the Monarch and Zeiss compare favorably while the S&B did poorly, and it appears that S&B provided a second scope for testing that did a little better. Not even sure what false light is though, but it sure don't sound too good to have.
