Inquiring to those who have used the high end ( Steiner, Swaro, Zeiss, Leica ) and the abilities to "look into " the shadows of timber, brush, undergrowth and picking out wildlife.

The New Steiners ( peregrine )  say they have that ability... true?

with swaro, zeiss, and leica - you will get the best glass in the business and wonderful performance.

the steiner nighthunters are excellent - super bright - but i think with the resolution you gain from the coatings/glass of the big three,

the added brightness of the steiners will be on par w/ the rest.

as for the perigrines, i have heard good things - but for that kind of money, i would look at the top of the line fujinons (around 600 bucks) 7x50's.

they hang w/ zeiss and swaro, IMO.

OR buy one of the big three.  my 2 cents.

once you put a wonderful pair of binoculars in your hands, you won't go hunting w/out them.

J

Again, flip a coin.

Try them out and then buy the one that feels best in your hands (size, weight, texture, etc.)  Whichever you decide, you will have made a good choice.
