Just checking to see if anyone has more info on the new offerings from Ithaca. I called the factory and was told new rifles in 308 and 300 win mag, tactical or hunter versions (aluminium/composite or wood) and 1 new rifle in 338, tactical only. prices $1800.00 - $4000.00, scheduled to ship 8-10 weeks. Found some pictures in their form, looks like a winner from a great american company -

Thanks Peddler,

Roger That, standing by. Hey I grew up in western N.Y. Mom and Dad are still there (Cheektowaga) freezing their a$$ off right now. Dad at 84 still takes his Ithaca model 37 out deer hunting. Told me he had a real nice 8 pointer walk right in sights and thought "how am I gonna carry that out of here" and let him keep on walking. Hopefully we all will get there some day, not too soon though-

Thanks Again

Ed, Ed , dig into the inheritance for the girls and look at the new Ithaca rifles! You can always pass it onto one of them.

Look at the map, I'm 21/2 hours straight East of Cheektowaga. I'm on the Eastern end of the Lake. We get more snow than Buffalo does and so does Syracuse.

We are at 120" as of yesterday.

But, south of Buffalo in the Southtowns they get close to what we get. That's until Erie freezes over then not much more snow.

Erie is covered with ice now so no more lake effect.

Maybe more Ithaca rifle info tomorrow.

Those Ithaca rifles seem a might pricey. Have hunted with the old M 37 DeerSlayer slug guns... or should I say shoulder busters! They were very accurate though.
If we're not suppose to eat animals...how come they're made of meat?

My buddy texted me back this am, no hunting models at the present time. They have three tactical models, all bolt actions.
