I am looking at putting a Bushnell Legend 3 - 9x 50 on my Remington 7400 in .30-06 caliber.  I am replacing a 15 year old tasco world class 3-9 x40.  Is this a good choice???  Any info/feedback for this scope.  Or are there any other good recommendations under $200.  Also what mounts/rings should I look at.

Thanks
Tony

The Legend is a decent scope, however, in the Bushnell line in your price range you would be better sered with an Elite 3200 3-9x40 with the FireFly and unique Rainguard lens coatings. I believe you can get this scope for under $200. The really nice thing about the Elite series of scopes is that they come with a 1 year " No questions asked refund policy". No other scope manufacturer stands behind their scopes like Bushnell does on their Elite scopes. Another good choice would be the Burris FF2 in the same price range in 3-9.

As for rings/bases, I would go with the 1 pc. Leupold base and a set of Med height rings.

i ditto the FF2 3-9x40, 20 bucks, and you get a free spotting scope, and i beleave its much better quality than the 3200, and its clearer.
