Looking for recommendations for a sling that will compliment by new rifle, a Sako Bavarian with oil finished walnut stock.  The oil finish has a flat look as opposed to the sheen on lacquer finished rifles. Thanks.

The Creedmoor Jim Owens sling Wes linked to is a target sling, though. Not ideal for a hunting rifle for all the extra straps and keepers, etc in my opinion. The Hunter brand stuff is a good value, but not as heavy duty as some others. Unless you need extreme duty stuff, they are a good choice and very reasonably priced. I like them.
Turner Saddlery makes good slings; I think they manufacture the Brownell's house brand.

Slings are very subjective, I use the "claw" sling exclusively on all my rifles.

My favorite leather sling is the Murray Custom Leather Quick Sling. It is a very classy and easy to use sling that compliments any fine wood stocked rifle.
The Quake Hush Stalker swivels used on the Claw are my favorite. I use them in both the Claw and the Wilderness carry slings.
The Murray is the leather equivalent of the Wilderness carry sling. They are easy to adjust and simple. Also, Murray can probably install the Hush Stalker swivels on the Quck Sling. The swivels are sewn into the loop so they have to know ahead of time.

I am running the Montana Sling on my rifles these days. It is the best sling I have ever seen or used, and it really compliments a rifle with a nice wood stock. They come in black, too, for those synthetic stock lovers out there. The wider strap works well on a rifle with some heft like my Mark V 375 H&H... I bought three of these so far.

The Montana sling in tan leather would most certainly complement that rifle. I have to agree with Texas, it's a very well made and easy to use sling for a hunting rifle.
