And I was very impressed!
First thing I noticed was the huge "picture", unusual for a scope with good (3.75) eye relief. You'd think it was as big around as a basketball when you look through it. I ran the power selector through it's entire range and the image stayed constant, no shrinkage, growing, blurred edges, or tunnel effect.
I wish they had more options, I don't think I could live without side focus/AO on a 12x scope, maybe I should stick with my Kahles CL until they make a 3-18x50 Z6 with side focus....

which one? sounds like the 12x ---- The best rationalization I've came up with so far is---now if I got the TDS reticle and was load specific I wouldn't need the SF. And also the turrets wouldn't be near a problem as dial in wouldn't be necessary. What is your vote. on the turrets as to their composition, metal or plastic??? |

I saw both scopes, 1.7-10x42 and 2-12x50, they both had a very fine duplex reticle, too fine for big game or low-light. The caps looked plastic, so I pulled one off and squeezed it as hard as I could while the concerned Bass-Pro employee watched. It didn't egg-shape, I was pretty convinced that it was metal, maybe aluminum, I may be wrong, but these caps wouldn't stop me from buying it like the ones on the conquest did.

Tbrake,
I know what you mean. I made the mistake of looking through one myself.
