my dad bought a 41 rem mag and he bought a bunch of ammo for it as well as some brand new brass and a set of dies, but he cannot find and primers for it anywhere. i talked to him yesterday and he had been to dick and jim's c store in phoenix az and they didnt have any magnum large pistol primers and i was wondering if anybody knew a place where i could still get some.

FWIW, there are plent of primers listed on Gunbroker under reloading supplies.

The prices at which these primers seem to be selling are also obscenely high. Shocked

i guess they are gouging, i called the scheels store in fargo nd a bit ago and they had some win primers they would only sell me 1000 at a time and they wanted $27 for 1000! they want $40 for the same thing on gun broker, its a damn shame things are going nuts like this right now.

My local supplier has CCI 350's but that's about it.  that doesn't do either one of us any good.

At $27/1000 you had better jump on them.  Around here they are $40/1000.  One store will only sell you 300 at a time.  And that's if he even has them.  What we did was get a big order together to make it worth the $22.50 HazMat fee for powder and primers.  We had enough that the primers wound up being $25/1000.  And leave it to me to not take an accurate inventory... I still need a 1000 Mag. Pistol primers.Loco

I pay $40/1000 for BR-2s all the time.  That's why I'm doing the testing with the 250's their cheaper. $35/1000.

It's not being cheap, it being thrifty!!!   that's my story an I'm sticking to it.

Think about the price of primers??????? they are still not that bad considering how many you get ! this is the last thing I worry about . and I don't make anywhere near what some of you guy's make as far as $$$$$$$ trust me......... the bullets and powder is what sucks and if you need brass well go to the range and be a scrounge.......I do!

All I can say is stay on top of it ask the store what day they get shipments in and be there that day or the next or suffer without them. There is stuff coming in constantly but everyone is so tired of hearing they dont have something in that when it shows up they take all of it need it or not.
