Just thought I'd let you know that if you have been waiting patiently for the new Monarch Scope to be available "late June".....well I found out today that the date has now been moved up to "late August". (I'd hate to hear what they might have to say in late August!)

I guess it's the same old, same old. Delays and annoyances when dealing with large corporations and/or their service departments has been no surprise in my lifetime. As mentioned in another thread, rather then cry loud, and expect the world to change for me, I have now simply made abrupt alternate plans. Those "alternate plans" will be in the form of a new Bushnell Elite 6x-24xSF 30MM scope......for $100 less then the Nikon to boot!

After receiving the frustrating news about the rescheduling of the Nikon Monarch scope I put plan #2 immediately into effect. (....rather then to bitch and moan to Nikon and the whole world hoping that Nikon might change for me) I immediately contacted the Bushnell Corporation. I wanted to be sure that their "bullet proof, no questions asked" money back return was still in effect for the first year of ownership. I was assured by the very courteous representative there that this policy was still in effect, and that a refund check would take no more then 6 weeks. No,  I'm not planning on the scope arriving to me defective. But it's always nice to know what to expect when buying an expensive item. And Bushnell's "no questions asked" full refund return policy check is about as reasonable as one could ever hope for.

Good luck to you guys willing to wait on the new Monarch. Not knocking it if you decide to wait. It might well be worth it.

Cheers.
