Found the pic of Finn Aagaard's dad I was referring to in rifle looney's thread:

The rifle's not Finn's cherished Brno.

It's from an article by Finn entitled "The Great 7x57 Mauser" that was in a Guns and Ammo special edition mag entitled "All Around Rifles"from 1981.  ALOT of familiar names in it.  Hal Swigget,J.B.Wood,Bob Milek(a FAVORITE!!),Jack Lott(gave me the idea for my .300),Bob Hagel Thunbs Up,even one by Chuck Adams when he still rifle hunted.  Total of 4 articles by Finn.

Yeah Bob Milek got me hooked on t/c contender pistols though he really liked the Remington XP platform.... I also enjoyed  the writings of...... Ross Seyfried.... as well  still around I think just retired.

I love the hat Finn's father is wearing!
I had a felt one similar to it many years ago. I looked like an absolute hillbilly wearing it, but I didn't care. Back then I was able to beat up pretty much anybody who laughed at me.
(Nowadays I would probably have to resort to shooting them in the knee!)

I have my grandfathers old hunting hat - it looks like Elmer Fudd's hat.

Tillley hats---Thunbs UpGUARANTEED FOR LIFE:
Tilleys are replaced free if they ever wear out, shrink or fall apart. They're so carefully handcrafted by us in Canada, and made of such strong materials, that many outlive their owners. Final words in the Owner's Manual? "Pass it on!"

INSURED AGAINST LOSS:
We understand the anguish of losing this reliable companion, or of having your dog terminally gnaw it. Should that happen, we'll replace your late, lamented Tilley at half the catalogue price.
