One of our best local customers just returned from a lengthy African safari.  I really enjoyed his stories and pictures and thought ya'll would too.  His pictures are posted on his site,

Hunter  Elam and his wife Debbie hunted with Limcroma Safaris out of S. Africa and took over 36 trophies, many of them very high record book.  Most of Hunter's animals were taken with a Swarovski 1.5-6x42 Professional Hunter scope with the seldom seen #24 reticle.

Most of the game was taken with a Dakota 76 Traveler, two barrel set (one .375 Holland & Holland and the other .300 Holland & Holland).  He used 300 grain Barnes Triple Shock in the .375 and 180 grain Barnes Triple Shock in the .300.

For the buffalo he used a Heym Professional Hunter Double Rifle in .470 Nitro Express. (ouch).

He's going back for what he called a wet safari and is taking a very special stainless/synthetic Ed Brown 704 in .458 Lott (300 grain)  for crock, hippo, etc.  and a .500 Jeffrie launching 600 grain missles at rhino.

I asked him if I he would mind me getting a life insurance policy on him before he goes back.

The video is still being edited, but here is a link to the into.
