Hi all, I'm looking for a lightweight scope to mount on a Ruger M77RSI (International) rifle in 7mm-08.  I'm looking for one in 2x7 power. Looking for something other than the Leupold Ultralight series.

Any suggestions would be great!!

Thanks so much!!!

Greg

This gives you 2x on the low end, a 5 factor zoom with 10x on top, and a lightweight.

I have both the Kahle and the viper 2x7s, and I own 3 M77 RSIs. My favorite combo is the 7mm-08 RSI in SS, with a Viper 2x7. It is really comfortable to handle, the size looks good, great performance at dawn. The Kahle has slightly better glass, but somehow does not feel as comfortable on the RSI. I also have a 3x9 Kahles that does not look good on the RSI.

Hope this helps -

The Nikon 2-8x32 is a very good scope that is trim and would compliment the RSI nicely.
It has plenty of power for long shots on game and set on 6x will give you plenty of "brightness" for use in low light.

The Zeiss Conquest 2.5-8x32 is another fine choice.

Lightest 2-7's are the leupold and weaver v series scopes. I personally like the regular leupold over the ultralight at the cost of about 1/2 oz.plus it comes in gloss which compliments the finish on the older RSI' Might I suggest a fx 4 power leupold at 9.5 oz. Plenty of power for most hunting and pretty light weight.
