I would reccomend a Leupold VX3 2.5-8x36. For about $60 if I recall correctly they can do a ballistically matched reticle for your gun/load specifically, which obviously isn't going to be perfect as atmospheric conditions change but will be good enough for kill zone accurate shot placement. While at the range you can just click in where you need to go. Upgrade the turrets if you wish, but for hunting use I strongly prefer simple, low profile turrets with a cap to cover them.

Maybe that's why leupold sucks for offering reticles if the "custom" ones are so "cheap." If that's true it's really stupid that "upgrading" to a different reticle is around 150$ and customs are much cheaper. They should really advertise that more... But I digress. I'm not a huge leupold fan. I'll check this out. Thanks! |
