Now if Leupold claims the Rifleman is the same as the old Vari-X II, wouldn't that mean the VX-I is better than the old Vari-X II ?

The reason I ask is I keep seeing folks price the Vari-X II higher than the VX-I.

I made the unfortunate mistake of purchasing a leupold rifleman, And I also had a VX-I at the time, when they were both at the same magnification there was no comparison in my mind, the VX-I was brighter and clearer.
