Please discribe how this new reticle works. What are the two power settings? What are the values of the cross bars?        Thanks

       Leupold Boone and Crockett  Big Game Reticle

Sorry Chris, but I gotta call you on this. Were these taken from 10 yards and 5 respectively, or were both scopes set at 100x ?

Both were set at 100x.

 

Actually, these images were made extra exaggerated so you can get a better idea of what the reticle looks like.  Probably should have put some sort of disclaimer like.  Objects in view are actually smaller than they appear.[:$]

  I purchased one of the VX-III's in 4.5-14X40 LR a few months ago from SWFA.  What an excellent scope.  I'm not a big advocate of
Leupold scopes but this one is near perfect.  I have it mounted on a 22-250 REM 700 VLS SS and I am tagging crows out to 400 yds,
about 60% success rate on headshots alone at 400!  Crisp and clear!

Damn....that is awesome SPAD.

For anyone else interested in here is a Flash animated instruction / tutorial on how the two new bullet drop reticles (Boone & Crockett and Varmint Hunters) work.
