Picked up a pair yesterday for hunting, and absolutely love them, they are immaculate out to 500 yds(thats all the distance I have here) and very affordable. Picked them up at Academy for 79. I would suggest these to anyone looking for a good set of binos for hunting, or just looking. Clear picture, easy adjustments, great binos.

Excellent indeed. Got out at 11pm last night and looked at the back treeline (350-400 yds) and could perfectly see the outline, and see anything with a lighter contrast up against it, and darker things in the lighter colored fields on the other side. Great deal that SWFA sells them!

CF II, I'll make sure to always look on stuff that I'm really looking into. Those just happened to be an impulse buy since we were out doing Christmas shopping. I wasn't even looking for binos, just happened to walk by them and picked them up.

Yours is s pretty typical reaction of anybody who has ever looked through a Yosemite.  I see they have a new designation and some changes in the Wind River Green Ring line, including the Yosemite..

What is the difference between the original Yosemite and the new BX-1?  Is it just cosmetic?
What if the hokey pokey really is what it's all about?

I scored a pair of those 6x30's and I have to agree with you.  So far they seem to be a great value for the price.  I will be trying them in the field next week during the second Tennessee rifle season.

The only stated specs. that I see that changed, are close focus is 10 ft. on the new model,
a little shorter than the previous,  I have found the early version is much the same 10', the FOV is
the same.  There is a change in the armor.  So I suppose a new look is the update.

Otherwise, maybe someone else has found some other changes.  Either way, these are a nice
binocular.

Well, whatever the differences, I bought a Yosemite for each of my two boys for Christmas.  When they arrived I couldn't help myself but to open them up and give them a quick once-over.  (the boys will never know... right?)   I was pretty impressed.  Now I need one for my wife and another - maybe one in pink camo - for my daughter.

Well, since the older models are being discontinued, this might be a good time.
