Now I'm not a big Leupold but these new VX-L scopes have my attention!  One thing I can't seem to find is scope covers.  Do they come with them or not.  If so, are they shaped like the objective; I would think so.  And lastly, who out there has been using one!

No the scope covers are square  !!!

Nobody has been using one because they just came out. All they are is a VXIII with a cut out so you can get large objectives closer to the barrel which makes sense. Yes they look odd and no you cant find all the accessories you might want at this point but hang in there they will pop up if there is a market and I think you could adapt some butler creek caps with an exacto knife and then mil duck tape them on.  So the system is workable.

I've been using one for about 3 months, a 3.5-10X50 and like it a lot.  They do have a few upgrades from the VX III  It's the first 50mm scope I've been able to use; when I got it I took the 2.5-8X36 off and dropped the VX-L in.  .Low mounts are perfect.

VX-L scopes come with a neporene type scope cover.
