Does anyone know how the Burris Euro's compare to the New VX-III's?  Specifically in light transmission and clarity.  Looking at Burris 3-12x50 and Leupold 4.5-14x50.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say the Burris is probably superior, though I have never compared these two scopes since one is a 30mm and the other is a 1".  I pick the Burris because I have compared the Signature Select to the VX-IIIs and I preferred the Burris.  I believe (not sure) that the Euros and the Sig Selects have the same glass and coatings, the only difference being size.

I owned a Euro Diamond, and now own a Black Diamond, 2 Signature Select, and a FF2.  The Euro Diamond was not the equal of the Signature or the Black Diamond.  Go with the VX III or get a Black Diamond.

What makes the Euro Diamond inferior to the Black Diamond or Signature Select?

The Euro Diamond appeared to be the same quality as my FF2.  I ASSUMED (Does anybody really know the difference?) they put FF2 glass in a 30mm tube.  Don't get me wrong; it's a nice scope, but not as sharp and bright as the Black D or Sig Select.

EuroDiamond and BlackDiamond are supposed to have the same glass and coatings.  The EuroDiamond is just styled differently to attract buyers interested in Swarovski or Zeiss.
