Is there anyone out there that owns the VX-6 ?
I find the magnification dial too tight.   So tight, I had to return the scope.

I read 100 reviews, and no one complained of this problem.   I know it's not me. I tried more than one VX-6, and the problem is serious enough, that I can not use this scope in the field.

There must be some other VX-6 owners out there.   Do you find this objectionable ??

Leupold is not so fast to answer emails.

The power ring on my 2-12 VX6 is a little tight too, but not unusable.  I love the scope, and find it to be the most user friendly variable I've ever used, especially at higher mags.  Instead of emailing them, give them a call.  They've got the best (along with Swaro) customer service in the business IMO.

A number of scopes are tight to begin with and loosen up with a little use.

I really studied this problem, as I spent a lot of money on the scope.   The problem is magnified by cold temperatures.

So if your sighting in on a warm day, you'll just deal with it.   But on a cold day hunting, and Bambi is coming into field of view, and you cannot turn the dial, you won't be too happy.

I dismounted one of my other brand scopes, and put it in the freezer.   The dial was still turn-able.   This is very important. Especially if you are from cold climates, Alaska, Canada, MI. etc., etc.

If you still have it unmounted take the scope and rotate it a few hundred times to see if the grease inside will free up some and become smoother to rotate.  IF still tight, leupold will fix you right up.

I have had several different brands of scopes with this issue as well.  But not all of them do it.  I think it is hit and miss.  My new Trijicon 1-4x is like this, it is hard to turn when warm, but near impossible to turn when cold.  My old Trijicon did not have this issue.

Leupolds are known to do this with some of them, but not all of them.  I have three variable Leupolds and none of mine do this, but I have read posts where people have had these issues with Leupolds.  I bet the number that do are much lower than those that don't.

I would suggest calling Leupold and using their customer service, they do have a good customer service dept and I dare bet they will make you happy.
