Hello all, I have visited the forum a lot and like it quite a bit, which led me to asking or wanting feedback on specifically these two scopes,

Leupold VX-6 2x12x42               vs            Zeiss Conquest HD5 2x10x42

Illuminated Dot/CDS                                            Rapid Z 600

I noticed in the low light the rapid Z reticle seemed to fade against the dark background but to me the glass seemed a little more crisper

Anyone else compared these two or have any input or impressions, I have to pick one or the other.
I know it all boils down to what "my eyes" see, but my time with them has been limited.

I agree that in low light the Z600 may not be the best option. If that's your gig, than the Leupy would be the best choice IMHO. BTW, welcome to the forum!!! Excellent

I like the 4A reticle for low light - the lines are a bit heavier and easier to see. The open upper half gives the "illusion" of a wider FoV.

I have had Zeiss Conquest with the Z plex, the old rapid z 600 and new rapid z 800. Actually the the crosshairs of the rapid z is easier to see in low light because it is thicker than than the standard z plex, but the z plex seems to draw your eye to the crosshairs faster due to the darker outer post. The rapid z is visible earlier/later than the z plex.
