Hello folks...I have a Leupold Green Ring Sequoia Spotter right now that Im thinking of selling for the Bushnell Excursion FLP.  My question would be...Do you think that this would be a good switch.  I will mostly be doing target work on the range and possible use it for high power service rifle.   I know it doesn't have an angled eye peice but i think I can make due.  I want to be able to pick up mirage and wind readings as well as .223 holes at various distances.   100-600 yards will be my main viewing distances.  Thanks everyone!!!

In my experience the ED Excursion will run circles around the Sequoia.  The FLP I looked through was on par with the Leupy 15-45x60, which is much better than the Sequoia IMO.  You'll have a tough time looking at bullet holes with any inexpensive 60mm spotter at 600 yards, however.  If you're into range work, you might want to look at a good 80mm spooter like the Brunton or Bushnell Elite.  Good Luck.

seeing bullet holes are not my main concern as spotters are used in competition. I would hope the bushnell would pick up mirage wind reading as well as bullet trace (vapor trail) for shot correction on a .223. I already made the purchase but still welcome any feedback or through the lens pics you may have.

Having looked through both, I think the Bushnell FLP HD is far superior. The 80 is well worth the upgrade.

I have both the Leupold GR 12-40x60mm and the Bushnell Excursion 15-45x60mm - I'm not sure the $1000 Leupold is $700 better than the Excursion.
