This scope has no ring marks, and only one very small blemish on top and at the base of the front bell where a screwdriver slipped when I mounted it on a rifle.  This scratch is very small, I'd say 1-2 millimeters long and quite thin.  I doubt I could get it to show up in a photograph.  The lenses are in great shape- I can't find any scratches on them.  Also, it has the gloss finish.  I don't know how old this scope is, because I'm not the original owner, but it's in great shape.  You'd probably be hard-pressed to find a used one in better shape.  I'd like to get $200.  Please pm me if interested.

I was just going off of auction prices.  Even beat-up vari-x ii's in gloss finish have been getting $175ish after shipping, with several nice ones going near or just over $200 and then add shipping.  This one is in excellent condition, so I went towards the upper end and figured I'd pay shipping.
