Can the intelligencia located herein explain the difference between leupold's tactical milling reticle and their everday run of the mill mil-dot reticle?  I looked on their site but it just showed the models that had it, not what it was or why it's better/necessary etc.  Thanks in advance, and get ready for more questions!

They used to have more info on the site before they upgraded it and the great info disappeared. Basically it is similar in nature with the ability to be more precise. If you e-mail Leupold on their customer service link they will send you the manual which is what they did when I asked about it, but they are too dumb to put the info back on line at least so far.

You can say that again.  Too much hype and not enough info.
The nightforce site is much more helpful, makes me want to
buy one of their scopes instead.  Thanks for the TMR
document, I too was wondering what the TMR was all
about, found a great view through one over in a collection
of reticle photos on the AR15.com optics forum.  Now why
Leupold doesn't show you their reticles on their website or
in their brochures is a mystery to me.

They used to until someone "improved " the new web site I've mentioned something but getting things like that changed can be challenging. The MP8 reticle from IOR and the new P4 mil dot from S&B are awesome. Zeiss Z1000 reticle is very intersting also like a Horus Vision reticle with hold over and wind drift marks.

Amen Trinidad...I was on there last night to see what the going rate on reticle changes are and had a frustrating time...I think they must have hired some slick Portland transplanted Californians to make up the "pretty but non-functional" POS website...I went to Premier Reticles to look at them as an alternative but their links are apparently dead w/i the site....pity.  I'd like to have my 6-18xAO redone...I can't see the fine cross hairs with my stigmatism...I might just have to sell it/trade in to SWFA.

I have the TMR, and love it. .5 mil line stadia with 4th-5th mil divided into .2 mil stadia for more precise reticle-rangefinding.

I hear you, there are definetly some problems going on at Leupold.

This new website and a couple of people that I spoke on the phone recently...

I couldn't believe they took some of the reticle subtension info off it. Wasn't happy about that.
