I have just purchased a Browning t bolt varmint rifle in 22 lr. I have a Leupold scope and was needing some info.on it. The scope is a 3x9 with an adjustable objective. It is marked vari -x 3-9x33mm E.F.R. Air Rifle . It also says made in USA. Just wondering about it. I don't see any new models similar. Iwas really wondering about the air rifle marking on it. Its in great shape and not a scratch on it. What is it worth if it's not suitable for a 22lr. Oh yeah I'm new to the forum. Love to shoot. Thanks ahead of time for any info.

An air rifle scope is actually stronger than a 22 scope. As long as it's in good shape you should be good to go. If not it's under warranty.

The E.F.R. allows you to focus parallax down to 10 yards. That scope is great for a .22 LR.
Here is the present model http://www.leupold.com/hunting-and-shooting/products/scopes/rimfire-riflescopes/vx-ii-3-9x33mm-rimfire-efr/
All Leupolds are rated for air guns and can handle any springer made.
Welcome to O.T., BTW.

That scope - in various guises -  has been around for some time and is considered one of, if not THE best "rimfire scopes" available.  Leupold still offers it, in at least three variations. I hope it NEVER goes away.
