Looking at heights of Weaver-style rings, and it says these are .750" for lows. My calculations would make these work for a 50mm Minox scope on a very-slight taper varmint barrel. Maybe I'm missing something?...Also, dumb question: has anyone ever skinned their knuckles/hand operating the bolt near the sharp edges of these rings?

Leupold is measuring from the center of the tube. So .75" = .25"
Even if two different types of rings have the same height according to the specs, they are likely to be different once they're mounted on bases. |

OK, thanks. Didn't realize Leupold was measuring from the center of the tube; I was going from the bottom.
