Looking at heights of Weaver-style rings, and it says these are .750" for lows. My calculations would make these work for a 50mm Minox scope on a very-slight taper varmint barrel. Maybe I'm missing something?...Also, dumb question: has anyone ever skinned their knuckles/hand operating the bolt near the sharp edges of these rings?

Leupold is measuring from the center of the tube. So .75" = .25"

Even if two different types of rings have the same height according to the specs, they are likely to be different once they're mounted on bases.

OK, thanks. Didn't realize Leupold was measuring from the center of the tube; I was going from the bottom.
